Summary:
Merge User IDs Data Loader is not available by default. This is an enhancement created under the multiple assignment feature, thus, enabling multiple assignments is required to make the data loader available.

1. Enable the multiple assignments by adding this configuration in the ekp.properties file:
multipleAssignments.enable=true
This configuration requires an apache tomcat restart.
2. Once applied, multiple assignment should be enabled in System Configuration.
Once enabled the Merge User IDs Data Loader is now available under Manage > User > Merge User IDs Data Loader.
3. The Administrator can merge user accounts by specifying the Source User ID and the Target User ID to merge the source account into:
The following validations will be applied:

| Multiple enrollments for the same session | Both Source and Target have been enrolled onto the same module session. | Where both Source and Target Users have been enrolled onto a Session, ensure that only one enrollment, either Source or Target, is active at the merge time. The other enrollment should be withdrawn or similar. |
| User booked into repeated sessions | Both Source and Target have been enrolled onto the same module but different sessions. | Where both Source and Target Users have been enrolled onto a Session, ensure that only one enrollment, either Source or Target, is active at the merge time. The other enrollment should be withdrawn or similar. |
After the merge process, records of the Source User ID (excluding Preferences and Basic Properties) will be passed to the Target ID, and the Source User ID will be deleted.
