Photos - best practices
Applicable Product:
- OrgPublisher
Applicable Release:
- All versions
Summary:
While there isn't a size limit, what you should strive for is a photo file size that is not overly large - anything under 500K should be good as you can still retain good image quality.
You should avoid overly large photo file sizes because they can affect the performance of the chart. When you view a chart, the photos are loaded via a URL link which pulls the photos down from the source (such as your server or photo vault) to the browser. If that file is very big, the transfer time between wherever the photo file is stored and the end user's workstation will be longer.
In short, you have to strike a balance between the quality of the image and the file size.
