Pre-requisites
a) A data source that has Job ID (field 9) populated
In order for a planning chart to work properly, the data source your chart uses must have field 9 populated.
b) A Secured Chart
For the What-If Planning feature to be available, the chart must exist in a secured charting web app - you must use either Standard, Windows Authentication, or Reverse Proxy security. In the following example, the charting web app is set up to use "Standard" security:

Next steps
1. Create groups for Planners in your chart
For steps on creating group, bring up the online help in OrgPublisherAdministration and search for "Add a group".
There can be two types of planners: one that can do planning for the entire chart and another that can only do planning within their own span of control. For example, someone in HR may be able to do planning for the entire chart while managers can only do planning for people that report up to them.
As such, if you have these 2 types of planners, you will need to create 2 groups.
2. Create a view for planning purposes
For details on how to create a view, bring up the online help in OrgPublisherAdministration and search for "Add a view".
Design your view so that it shows the information that you require to do planning.
NOTE: in order to add/modify information in your fields, they must be added to the Profile View.
3. Set a baseline and other attributes for the planning charts
Charts that are created in a secured charting web app will have the option to set a baseline in the "What If Planning" tab (provided the database connection has been set in step [a] above).
When setting a baseline, you will need to

*If they do not see the menu, review the groups you created to ensure that the correct group of people show up in those groups.
