24.04 PeopleFluent Talent Management Release Notes
PeopleFluent is pleased to announce the upcoming PeopleFluent Talent Management 24.04 update. This document describes the functionality of these new features, discusses their client impact, and provides detailed information about each. If you have any questions about the enhancements or the new features presented in this document, please contact your PeopleFluent representative.
Compensation Features
The features and enhancements described in this section apply to PeopleFluent Compensation. Because this application is configurable per client, new features may affect each implementation differently. For more information about any new feature, and how it can be used in specific implementations, contact a PeopleFluent representative.
These features will be available when the client is upgraded to this version of PeopleFluent Compensation.
Additional Off-Cycle User-Defined Fields
Functionality
This enhancement adds additional user-defined fields to Compensation off-cycle reward cycles to match what is available in focal reward cycles.
Details
The 24.04 update adds more user-defined fields (UDFs) to off-cycle reward cycles. Bonus, Stock, and Salary off-cycle reward cycles now have the same UDFs that focal reward cycles have:
- userString1-20
- userCurrency1-20
- userPercentage1-10
- userDecimal1-10
- userInteger1-10
- userDate1-5
- userBoolean1-5
- userSelectList1-10
- userDefaultCurrency1-15
Upon upgrade, existing and new off-cycle reward cycles will have access to the new UDFs.
Market Data Fields in Off-Cycle
Functionality
This enhancement adds market data fields to Salary Off-Cycle reward cycles.
Details
The 24.04 update adds market data fields that are available in focal reward cycles to off-cycle reward cycles. Specifically:
- Market Position and New Market Position are now available in Salary off-cycle reward cycles.
- Any fields selected as active in Menu > Administration Home > Site Administration > Data Setup > Market Range Percentiles are now available to add to the recommendation details form widget, and all market range fields (currentMarketRange1, newMarketRange1, etc) are now available in formulas and alerts.
These market data fields are available for the recommendation detail widget, in formulas, and in alerts.
Worksheet Editability Fields
Functionality
This enhancement adds the ability to write formulas in the Compensation Column Manager that control the editability of string, boolean, and user select list fields.
Details
In previous updates of PeopleFluent Compensation, clients have had the ability to use the Column Manager to add formulas that control the editability of worksheet columns for currency, unit, percent, and user defined fields. For example, you might want a currency field to be locked once it gets above a certain threshold.
This update adds string, boolean, and user select list fields to the list of fields whose editability can be controlled with formulas.
- Note: Fields must be editable grid fields in focal reward cycles in order to be controlled in this way.
Export from Budget Allocations Page
Functionality
This enhancement allows the ability to export the data from the budget allocation page for Salary, Bonus, Stock, and Total Compensation reward cycles.
Details
In this update, The Budget Allocations and Holdbacks list grids on the budget allocation page for Salary, Bonus, Stock, and Total Compensation reward cycles have been changed to SmartGrids, allowing for export and increased filtering and sorting. This will make data validation much easier.
Also, a new Criteria column has been added to both SmartGrids that is a string representation of the allocation criteria, and this new column is sortable and filterable.
Performance Features
The features and enhancements described in this section apply to PeopleFluent Performance. Because these applications are configurable per client, new features may affect each implementation differently. For more information about any new feature, and how it can be used in specific implementations, contact a PeopleFluent representative.
These features will be available when the client is upgraded to this version of PeopleFluent Performance.
Request Feedback on Evaluation Forms
Functionality
This enhancement adds the option to request feedback on evaluation forms.
Details
The 24.04 update gives employees and managers the ability to request feedback right on the evaluation form. The Feedback button at the bottom of the evaluation form now includes a Request Feedback option.
If the View Year-To-Date Feedback option is configured to be visible, Request Feedback will be an option after clicking the Feedback button. If the View Year-To-Date Feedback option is configured to be not visible, then the button will go straight to the Request Feedback page. There, users can go through the standard procedure to request feedback.
If a manager is requesting feedback for an employee, the Request Feedback form will automatically populate with the employee's name and position in the Request Feedback For field.
Succession Features
The features and enhancements described in this section apply to PeopleFluent Succession Management. Because these applications are configurable per client, new features may affect each implementation differently. For more information about any new feature, and how it can be used in specific implementations, contact a PeopleFluent representative.
These features will be available when the client is upgraded to this version of PeopleFluent Succession Management.
No new PeopleFluent Succession Management features or enhancements were made in this update.
Common Features
The features and enhancements described in this section apply to all PeopleFluent Talent Management applications. Because the applications are configurable per client, new features may affect each implementation differently. For more information about any new feature, and how it can be used in specific implementations, contact a PeopleFluent representative.
These features will be available when the client is upgraded to this version of PeopleFluent Talent Management.
User Interface Refresh
Functionality
This enhancement continues the updates to many aspects of the PeopleFluent Talent Management user interface.
Details
The 24.04 update of PeopleFluent Talent Management features a refreshed user interface and modernized look and feel. Many UI elements have been updated; some highlights include:
Branding Themes Expansion
Using the Branding Themes page, clients can now configure the color of the application masthead (1) vertical tabs (2), and Primary Navigation Menu (3), in addition to the border color, header color, vertical tab color, and primary navigation header and report logo images that were previously configurable.
The background color and text color of each can be configured on the Branding Themes page. To get to this page, go to Menu > Administration Home > Site Administration > Data Setup > Branding Themes.
Updated User Interface Elements
Various user interface elements have been refreshed to match the new styles. Many icons have been updated; for example, in the task list, the icon for a task that the user can delegate and the icon for a task that has been delegated to the user have been updated.
The image above shows the new Delegate Task icon that allows a user to delegate a task to another user (top), and the delegated task icon that indicates that this task has been delegated to this user from another user (bottom).
Edit icons across the application have been updated as well.
On My Dashboard, the large icons have been updated to match the new design.
Also, the SmartGrid charting pie chart has been replaced by a donut chart.
Employee Search Results Grid
The User Reference Key column has been added to the Employee Search results grid in order to better identify specific employees. By default, this column is not visible and can be made visible using design mode. By default, the following columns are also not visible: Employee Reference Key, Manager Employee ID, and Position Title.
Main Menu Reorganization
Functionality
This enhancement reorganizes and refreshes the Primary Navigation Menu.

Details
The 24.04 update of PeopleFluent Talent Management features a reorganization and refresh of the Primary Navigation Menu.
The Primary Navigation Bar, which sat just below the masthead, has been removed and the items that were there have been relocated to the new Primary Navigation Menu.
Click the new Primary Navigation Menu icon in the top left corner and the new menu slides out from the left side of the page:
You can click a menu item to select that item or "drill down" to a lower sub-menu, or click the X above the menu to close it.
One major organizational change is that most of the reporting items have been moved to the Reporting sub-menu in the main menu.
You can click Reporting on the main menu to open the Reporting sub-menu, where many reporting-related items have been gathered. Most of the SmartGrid views have been grouped under the new Grid Reporting menu item, and if you click that, a page opens that allows you to easily find the SmartGrid view you want to display.
If you bookmark a view, it will appear directly in the Reporting menu for ease of selection. If you bookmark multiple views, they will be grouped under Menu > Reporting > Bookmarked Grids.

My Dashboard and My Recruiting can be found under Menu > Dashboard > My Dashboard.
License Overage Management
Functionality
This feature adds the ability to manage the number of licensed users in a client's implementation of PeopleFluent Talent Management. Clients can be alerted when approaching the maximum number of users in their licensed applications and get reports on overages.
Details
A new reporting system allows clients to configure email alerts when the number of users gets close to their license limit, and adds a new ad hoc report category to provide client license overage data.
The following new enhancements have been made to support license overage management:
New System Settings
There is a new category of system settings that controls license overage management and allows you to manage and track the number of licensed people in each purchased Talent Management application. To access the license system settings, go to Menu > Administration Home > Site Administration > Data Setup > System Settings, then apply a filter to the Category column for License.
Settings include the following:
Setting | Description |
License Overage Alert Email Enabled | Enables the license overage alert email. This must be enabled for any email notification to be sent. The setting for at least one module (or for active users) must also be enabled for an email to be sent. |
License Overage Alert Email Recipients | A comma-separated list of license overage alert email recipients. |
License Overage Alert for Active Users | Enables the license overage alert for active users. |
License Overage Alert for Compensation | Enables the license overage alert for Compensation. |
License Overage Alert for Incentive | Enables the license overage alert for Incentive. |
License Overage Alert for Performance | Enables the license overage alert for Performance. |
License Overage Alert for Salary | Enables the license overage alert for Salary. |
License Overage Alert for Succession | Enables the license overage alert for Succession. |
License Overage Alert Percent Threshold | The license overage alert threshold percentage. This is the point at which the enabled email alerts will be sent. |
You can enable an email alert for each activated application that will be sent when the number of active users or plan participants exceeds the license overage alert threshold percentage.
Off-Cycle Last Updated Date
As part of this feature, the Off-Cycle last updated field is now updated upon initiation of the reward cycle, and upon any state transition during the cycle. This was done so Off-Cycle reward cycle usage can be properly recorded.
Ad Hoc Reports
A new License Usage ad hoc report category has been added, allowing reports to be generated on a client's license information. Reports under this category include License Usage Counts and License Usage Detail.
New Scheduled Job
A new scheduled job (Calculate License Usage) will run by default once a week to populate the new report with data. The timing and frequency of this job can be managed on the Scheduler Status page, and it can be run manually if needed.
Shareable Offline Reports
Functionality
This enhancement allows users to share offline reports with other users in the application.
Details
This update adds several enhancements to the Offline Reports feature.
Users with permissions to report on all rows of data can now choose to share a report with any other users in the application.
- Note: The Share Report section will not appear unless the Downloadable Offline Reports Enabled system setting is set to True.
When a report is shared, an email message is sent to the creator and the shared users with a link to download the report, and the report will be available in the My Offline Reports widget on My Dashboard and in Productivity Platform for both the creator and the recipients.
If a shared user deletes the report from their My Offline Reports widget, it will not affect the availability of the report in the creator's or other shared users My Offline Reports widget. If the creator deletes it, however, it will be removed from all shared users' widgets.
- Caution: No security is applied to the report, and the report creator can choose to share it with any user in the application. This means that the people that the creator shares the report with will be able to see the same data in the report that the report creator can access, even if they normally do not have access to this data. Report creators must exercise discretion when selecting users to share the report with.
As part of this enhancement, in the Schedule section there is a new Schedule Title field that allows report creators to enter a title for their report.
Finally, scheduled reports can now be edited in the Scheduled Reports SmartGrid (Menu > Reporting > Scheduled Reports if you have access) by clicking the Manage icon.
This allows you to edit all aspects of the schedule, including Schedule Title, Run type, Start Date, End Date, Time, and who to share the report with.
