Phantom Boxes Appear in Chart
Applicable Product:
- OrgPublisher
Applicable Release:
- V21
- 11.x
Summary:
The data source is used to source the chart details. If the data is not properly formatted it could cause the chart to display extra boxes at the top of the chart where there should be no boxes.
Extra boxes appear in charts as a result of what is known as Null Records. These are records that have no data but do have separators for the fields.
EXAMPLE: The two Open Position boxes are not supposed to be in this chart. They are phantom boxes.
To resolve this issue:
- Open the OCB file associated with the chart in Notepad or Notepad ++. You will see a line of commas with no data in between. This is the cause of the problem.
- Delete any rows of commas that have no data and save the change.
3. Open the chart again and the phantom boxes will be gone.
