Summary:
This article demonstrates how to export a data source.

Chart administrations may need to export a data source associated with a specific chart for multiple purposes. Exporting an existing data source allows the admin to not have to build a new data source from the beginning.

Users with the appropriate permissions can export a data source as a means of backing up the chart's data source. Exporting a data source includes any secondary data sources.

Note: As a security precaution, exported data sources connected to a database do not include the database user's password.

To export a data source:

1. Go to Home > Data Sources.

2. In Name, use the filter to find the data source you want to export.

3. Click the Export icon.

If the Include CSV Data window appears, click Yes to include the CSV files with the export. Otherwise, click No.

4. The data source is exported and a file with the .opDatasource format is saved to your web browser's          Downloads folder.
