Summary:
This article demonstrates how to set the export box count limit from a chart.
Chart administrators or end-users with the appropriate permissions can limit the total number of boxes that a user can export from a chart. Exports will only include entire levels that can be rendered without the total box count exceeding this value. This value limits the maximum number of search result records that can be exported.
To set the export box count limit:
1. Go to Home > Web Apps > Web App Name > Chart Name > Security.
2. Under the Data Export Security section, you will see the permission field labeled "Limit to box count" where the user can set a value to the number of limit to box count for export.
3. Click Save to save and close, or click Apply to save your changes and continue editing chart security.
4. You must publish the chart to see your changes reflected in the Charting web app.
Example of Exporting Chart to PDF format:
When the user exports the chart on the export pop-up window you will see the message indicating the limit to box count that was set in the permission: "Limit to box count".
