Summary:

You can delete imported SFIA libraries, their categories and subcategories, and also selected competencies if no longer required. Competencies that have been added to a model from a library remain in the model if the library competency is deleted.

Administrators with unrestricted access to the Competency Library feature in System Roles (Manage Features > Competency Manager Features) can delete SFIA libraries, their categories, subcategories and competencies.

To delete an SFIA library category or subcategory and associated competencies

1. Go to Manage Center > Talent > Library. The Library page opens with a list of imported libraries.
2. Expand the library hierarchy and select the category or subcategory you want to delete.
3. Select the Delete competency library icon. The Delete category dialog opens.
4. Click OK. The category and its subcategories (if any) and associated competencies are deleted from the library.

To delete one or more competencies from an SFIA library category or subcategory

1. Go to Manage Center > Talent > Library. The Library page opens with a list of imported libraries.
2. Expand the library hierarchy and select the category or subcategory from which you want to delete competencies. The competencies are listed on the right-hand side.
3. Select the check boxes of the competencies you want to delete.
4. Select Delete from the Bulk Action drop-down list. The Delete competency dialog opens.
5. Click OK. The selected competencies are deleted from the category or subcategory.
