Assign Competencies to Multiple Jobs

Summary:
Administrators can assign competencies to multiple jobs at once using the Jobs SmartGrid view. This bulk assignment feature helps streamline the process of managing competencies across many job roles, saving time and improving consistency.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Access the Jobs SmartGrid
- Navigate to:
Menu → Reporting → Grid Reporting → Organization Data → Jobs - Select a Jobs SmartGrid view.
Select Jobs
- Check the boxes next to one or more jobs to which you want to assign competencies.
Assign Competencies
- Click Assign Competencies at the bottom of the window.
- In the Select Competencies dialog box:
- Check the box for each competency you want to assign.
(Optional) Assign Target Ratings
To assign a target rating to the selected competencies:
- In the Rating Scale drop-down, select the desired scale.
- In the Target Rating drop-down, select a rating.
- Click OK to open the Select Target Rating Scale Values for Competencies dialog box.
If you click OK without assigning a target rating, you’ll be prompted to either:
- Yes: Clear any existing target values.
No: Retain current target values.
(Optional) Customize Ratings Per Job
- Review and adjust target ratings for each job as needed.
- Any changes made here will override the default rating set in the previous step.
Finalize
- Click OK. The Jobs page will refresh.
Result
- Open any of the affected jobs and navigate to the Competencies page.
- The newly assigned competencies and target ratings will appear in the Assigned Competencies section.
