How to Update a Data Source that Exceeds the Licensed Position Count
Applicable Product:
- OrgPublisher
Applicable Release:
- V21 and later
Summary:
This article demonstrates how to update a data source that exceeds the licensed position count. With a valid OrgPublisher license, data sources and their associated charts are automatically updated whenever a data source's data file changes, so long as the data does not exceed the licensed position count.
If the data file exceeds that count, then the system admin must obtain the necessary license to bring their organization into compliance. In the interim, users with the appropriate permissions can manually update each data source to ensure that their users are viewing accurate data in the Charting web app.
Detailed information:
To update a data source that exceeds the licensed position count:
- Go to Home > Data Sources.
- Click the red warning icon in the Position Count column of the data source you want to update.
- Click Yes.
The data source is now updated along with all charts that use it. A black warning icon displays in the Position Count column as a reminder that the maximum licensed position count has been exceeded for that data source.
