Configure Job Profile Auto-assignment Criteria

Summary:

You can configure the criteria for automatically assigning a job profile to users in the job profile's Auto-assign page. You then configure the auto-assignment scan interval in the Profile Auto-Assign Console to specify when auto-assignment processing happens.

You can select users based on any combination of the following properties:

  • User group, role, logical domain or organization
  • Completed courses
  • Employment information
  • Job profiles and competencies
  • User attributes
  • Organization attributes

Administrators with unrestricted access to the Job Profiles feature in System Roles (Manage Features > Competency Manager Features) can configure job profile auto-assignment criteria.

To configure job profile auto-assignment criteria

  1. Go to Manage Center > Talent > Job Profiles. The Job Profiles page opens with a list of the catalogs at the top level of the hierarchy.
  2. Select the catalog containing the job profile you want to configure auto-assignment criteria for. Its job profiles are listed on the right-hand side.
  3. Select Edit from the action menu of the job profile. The job profile's Details tab opens.
  4. Click Auto-assign. The Auto-assign page opens.
  5. Expand the criteria headings (for example, Users/Organization/Role) to select the criteria used to determine which learners can be auto-assigned the job profile.
  6. Click Set Auto-Assign Targets.
  7. Click OK to confirm.
