Summary:
In certain scenarios, applying sorting to a grid can lead to performance degradation. To resolve this, sorting must be removed from the associated System Grid View (Public), User Grid View (Private), or directly from the List Grid if no view is associated.
This article outlines the steps to remove sorting from each of these grid types.
System Grid Views (Public)
Purpose
Remove sorting from a public grid view to improve performance.
Steps
- Log in as an Administrator.
- Navigate to:
Main Menu > Reporting > Grid Reporting - Filter by the relevant grid category.
- Click on the View Name.
- From the toolbar, click Select View > Manage Views.
- Note the View ID and View Name.
- Navigate to:
Site Configuration > Data Tools > System Grid Views - Filter the ID and Name columns using the values obtained.
- Click the Remove Sorting icon.
User Grid Views (Private)

Remove sorting from a private user grid view.

- Log in as an Administrator.
- Navigate to:
Main Menu > Turn Design Mode On - Go to:
Main Menu > Reporting > Grid Reporting - Filter by the relevant grid category (e.g., Bonus History).

- Navigate to:
Site Configuration > Data Tools > User Grid Views - Filter the ID and Name columns using the values obtained.
- Click the Remove Sorting icon.
List Grids
Purpose
Remove sorting from list grids that do not have associated views.
Steps
- Navigate to:
Main Menu > Turn Design Mode On - Go to the relevant list grid (e.g., Inclusions under Performance Management Plan > Eligibility).
- Click the Configure Columns button in the toolbar.
- In Selected Display Columns, select the column with sorting (e.g., Name) and click Remove.
- In Available Columns, select a different column and click Add.
- Click Save.
- Click the newly added column to apply sorting.
- Reopen Configure Columns, remove the temporary column, and re-add the original column (e.g., Name).
- Save the changes. The grid will now have no sorting applied.
Additional Notes
