About Polls
Polls comprise a single multiple-choice question with two or more answers. Users can select only one answer choice to vote in the poll. You can distribute a poll in a news article. Since the news article's purpose is to deliver a simple poll, no news text is displayed.
The following fields in the News Editor are not used:
- Display Format
- Picture URL
- File Attachment URL
- Teaser
- Text
Polls are shown as news articles on the home page, but do not appear in the login page or the News section in the Career Center > Summary.
Each user can respond to the poll once only. The current poll result is displayed to users who have responded to the poll.
The poll result on the home page displays percentages only. Administrators can see the number of responses per question choice by running the R304 report.
