Performance Groups Section – Competency Options Configuration

Summary:
The Performance Groups section appears on the Competency Options page of a performance management plan only if the option "Assign competencies associated with the Performance Group" is selected in the Assign Competencies to Evaluate section. This section allows administrators to assign competencies to participants based on selected performance groups during a performance evaluation.
Navigation Path
To access this section:
- Go to Menu > Administration Home > Performance Administration > Performance Management > Performance Management Plans.
- Click the Edit icon next to the desired plan.
- Select the Competency Options tab.
Configuration Options
1. Group By
- Description: Determines how performance groups are categorized.
- Details: Options are configured using data maps and may include:
- Department
- Region
- Country
- Job Code
- Other organizational entities
2. Performance Groups Grid
- Initial State: Empty until a selection is made in the Group By field.
- Actions:
- Add From List: Select from existing performance groups.
- Add: Create a new performance group.
- Display: A grid appears listing all selected performance groups.
- Note: Multiple performance groups can be selected.
3. Competencies For
- Visibility: Appears after at least one performance group is added.
- Functionality:
- Displays competencies associated with the selected performance group.
- If multiple groups are listed, use the View Competencies icon to toggle between them.
- Actions:
- Add: Add new competencies to the selected group.
- Edit: Modify the rating scale for a competency.
- Remove: Delete a competency from the list.
Important Notes
- Precedence Rules:
- If a competency is assigned both from the Performance Plan and a Performance Group, the plan version takes precedence.
- If a competency is assigned from both the participant’s job and a Performance Group, the performance group version takes precedence.
