Problem
How to add and/or delete chart administrators
Solution
*Note: Chart Administrator refers to the person who formats and publishes org charts
*Note: Web Administration refers to OrgPublisher being installed on a web server
*Note: A single license of OrgPublisher allows up to 5 named, concurrent chart administrators with a web administration implementation
To add/Delete a Chart Administrator:
- Log onto server hosting the OrgPublisher application
- Browse to: Control Panel \Administrative Tools\Local Users & Groups\Groups
- Under Groups, open the local chart administrator group, it might be named “OPWeb_LG” but could be different
- If….

- You see a domain global group such as “OPWeb_GG” in the local group, to add or delete a chart admin, the user’s domain account should be added or taken out of the Global Group. Consult a domain administrator.
- You only see individual user accounts in the local group, you may add or delete the user accounts directly from the local group
- You don’t see any groups related to OrgPublisher in the local group, browse to the location where source charts are stored, it might be c:\inetpub\wwwroot\opweb\sourcecharts and add or delete user accounts directly from the security tab of the source charts folder
5. Test access for new users by giving them the web administration URL and ensure users who don’t have permissions are restricted from accessing web administration
