How to Configure User Password Rules

Applicable Product:

  • OrgPublisher

Applicable Release:

  • V22 and later

Summary:

This article demonstrates how to configure the password rules for your end users that they will use to access the chart administration configuration tool to make chart modifications and upload data sources. Users with the appropriate permissions can set the password rules for users.

By default, user passwords must have a minimum of three (3) characters and a maximum of 80 characters.  The minimum number of characters automatically increases to equal the sum of the values of the four minimum character types. The value of this field is not affected if the values of those fields are reduced.

Likewise, the maximum number of characters required automatically increases to equal the sum of the values of the four minimum character types once it exceeds the current value. The value of this field must always be equal to or greater than the minimum length. This field's value is not affected if the values of any of the four minimum character types are reduced.
