Overview

If a learner was mistakenly marked as Completed in any course or program, you can manually update their status back to In Process through the Catalog Editor.

For programs, you must first update the status of the user on the underlying sub-modules before you can modify the status at the program level.

Steps to Update the Learner’s Status

  1. Open the Course in the Catalog Editor.

  2. Navigate to the Session where you want to update the learner’s status.

  3. Click on Participants.

  4. Locate the affected user in the participant list.

  5. In the Overall Status Change dropdown menu, select any of the following temporary statuses:

    • Failed

    • Deactivated

    • Waiver/Exempt

  6. Click Save.

  7. Open the Overall Status Change dropdown again.

  8. You should now see In Process as an available option.

  9. Select In Process and click Save.

Result

The learner’s status will be updated from Completed back to In Process, allowing them to continue or restart the course as needed.
