RMS - How to Edit an Existing Trigger

This article explains how to edit a trigger in the RMS Administration Portal. Changes to a trigger affect all workflows using it. To edit, navigate to Area Workflows, select a workflow, expand its folder, open the Triggers folder, select and edit the trigger, then save. Some trigger parameters cannot be changed after creation. To have different trigger behavior in another workflow, create a new trigger.

Detailed Information:
To edit a trigger

  1. Go to Area > Workflows.  
  2. Highlight an active Workflow and click Modify Workflow on the menu bar.
  3. Expand the workflow folder by clicking the + sign next to a folder for which you want to edit the trigger.
  4. Click the Triggers folder.  
  5. Highlight a specific trigger in the Triggers list.
  6. Click the Edit Trigger button.
  7. Make the required edit depending on the specific trigger type.  Some trigger parameters cannot be edited once a trigger is created.
  8. Click the Save button.  

Note: It is necessary to create a new trigger if you want an existing trigger that is already applied to a workflow folder to work differently on another workflow folder.
