Summary:
Scenario: In the box editor, I've changed the box background for the Successor position type to blue:
However, when I view the chart, the successors have a white background (both Susanand Edward are successor candidates for Russell):
Resolution:
In order to have your Successor's box background colour be different, you have to add a background area object and use it as the background colour. Here's how:
- In the box editor's "Available Box Items" under the Person Section, click the "+" sign for the "Background Area" object:
- You should now see the object in the box editor:
- Move the object so that it is behind the "Name" field, and then resize it so it looks like this:
- Next, change the colour of the object by using the colour picker or entering a hex value - in this example, I've chosen a light blue:
Note that that adding the background object introduced extra spacing.
- To remove that space, drag up on the bottom sizing handle for the Person Section:
- Click the "Apply" button and re-publish the chart and you should see the formatting change:
