How to add a new custom drop-down field on Talent Profile page

Detailed Information
1. Create drop-down values.
a. Navigate to Site Administration > Data Setup > Common Display Value Categories.
b. Click on Add. Create a new category for the drop-down and Save.
c. Add drop-down values.
2. Create a custom field with Employee Entity.
a. Navigate to Site Configuration > Custom Fields > Custom Fields.
b. Click on Add.
c. Select Employee as Business Entity. *
d. Select “Enumerated (Display Value List)” as the Data Type.
e. Select above created display value category under ‘Enumerated Display Value List”.
3. Add the custom field on the Talent Profile page.
a. Turn on Design mode from Admin > Turn Design Mode On.
b. Navigate to Talent Profile page where you want the drop-down.
c. Click on a green icon in existing field and Use “Insert Custom Field Before and After” feature to add the custom field on the page.
d. Select the above custom field in the pop-up and click on Add.
e. The new custom field drop-down should be available.
f. Change the visibility and rename as necessary.
Notes:
a. * While creating the custom field, you might need to select different Business Entity (Employee/Person/Education/Position etc.) depending upon the page you want the drop-down field on.
b. All the custom fields cannot be imported.
c. The same custom field data can be visible on some other places like grids.
d. If you are using TM version older than 11.1, system should be restarted once the custom field is created before it is available for use.
