Job Essentials are created and held in the Job Essentials library as a central repository. Job Essentials can be used in Performance Plans or in association with Jobs.
10.x and later releases
The job essential library is a central repository where job essential are created, edited, and deleted. In the library, job essential are not associated with any jobs or performance management plans.
Employees can be evaluated on job essential as part of a performance evaluation, during both interim and final evaluations. However, job essential are not available for multi-rater evaluations.
Job essential evaluations can be based on the job essential associated with employees' job, or job essential associated with the performance management plan, or both. If you evaluate job essential based on a performance management plan, you can override the job essential rating scale and default rating for each job essential assigned to the plan.
