Summary
Changing visibility on a Reward Cycle Worksheet field columns that is shared on another Reward Cycle Worksheet
Detailed Information
PeopleFluent’s recommended solution is to create a User Define Field (UDF) to be used to replace one of the Field Columns on the Reward Cycle Worksheet instead of using the same field column on two Reward Cycle Worksheets. It is not recommended to use the same field column, one RO and the other RW. The issue you might encounter would be related to Reports. Within the Reward Cycle you can rename the same field column in one reward cycle and another name in a different reward cycle but not in the reporting grids. Reporting grids can have only one name per field and this may cause some confusion. However, if you find that you have limited User Defined Fields then the last option is described below.
When changing the visibility of a field column for a Reward Cycle Worksheet, the system will also change the visibility of that field column for all Reward Cycle Worksheet that also contain that field column. This is because the Worksheets uses the same page elements. In order to resolve go to ‘Define Reward Cycle’, choose a Reward Cycle, then go to ‘Column Manager’. Choose the field you are wanting to change the visibility and click on the ‘Overrides’ icon.
The ‘Set Visibility’ pop up will appear. On the ‘Default Accessibility’ choose your visibility then check ‘Is visibility configuration specific to current page only?’. Then make sure you have the ‘Role Visibility Override’ set for each ‘Role’ appropriately. Then ‘Save’.
NOTE: Once the change is made it will create a new page element with that Qualifier.
