Detailed Information

The Employee Selector functionality is used by managers, and it displays their direct reports in an index card-like format with each employee’s photo, name, title, and organization. The manager can also navigate to the larger population beyond their direct reports, by clicking at the bottom of the employee selection display area.

This functionality is available on the Talent Profile, the Journal Entry page, Performance Goal Setting and Evaluation forms.

On the Talent Profile, Journal, and Performance management forms managers can select employees from an index card-like format. Managers click the employee’s name to open the Talent Profile for that employee, or click the Team icon in an employee’s card to view that employee’s subordinates. The Team icon displays the number of employee's direct reports. When navigating through their reporting hierarchy, managers can click Back to move back up one level or click Back to My Team to return to a view of their direct reports.

Managers can switch to a SmartGrid view to choose from all available employees by clicking All Employees. Employees who do not have direct reports are shown a SmartGrid from which they can make a selection.
