Summary:

This article demonstrates how chart administrators can delete a position type, if needed. Users with the appropriate permissions can delete a custom position type.

Note: A custom position type cannot be deleted if assigned to a custom field or referenced by a group in the group criteria. The association must be removed before the position type can be deleted.
 
 Details:

To delete a custom position type:

1. Go to Home > Web Apps > Web App Name > Chart Name > Position Types. The Position Types page appears.
    
    

2. Click the Delete icon next to the position type you want to delete. A Confirmation dialog box appears.
   
   

    

3. Click   Yes.
   
   

You must always re-publish the chart to see your changes reflected in the Charting web app.
