Summary:

PeopleFluent Talent Management allows administrators to upload the files and create configurable dashboard links using it.
The dashboard links are available for end-users in My links widgets in My Dashboard.

Step 1. Upload the File 

a. Navigate to Site Administration > File Management > Files.
b. Click Add.

c. Select a category
d. Select file using File Browse tool.
e. Click Add.

Step 2. Get the File URL

a. Navigate to File Management > Files. Click Preview on the file that was uploaded.
b. It will open a pop-up.
c. Copy the file URL from preview pop-up. It will be in this format.

Step 3. Create a New Link Group

Skip step 3, if link group is already available.

a. Navigate to Site Administration > Links > Link Groups > Add.

b. Enter the details, Base URL= https://.
c. Save.

Step 4. Create a Link

a. Navigate to Links page under the Link Group and click Add.


b. Enter the details.
c. Enter URL from above without https://

d. Check Enabled and Show on Dashboard check boxes.
e. Save.

Step 5. Limiting Visibility to Roles

a. Turn on Design Mode from Admin menu.
b. Navigate to My Dashboard > My Links section.
c. Find the link. If not available on loading page, click View All Links.
d. Click Edit in place on the link.
e. Change “Default Accessibility” to Not Visible and make it visible to the roles as necessary.

If "non-standard" files are uploaded, corresponding MIME types should be added to system settings first. Contact PeopleFluent representative for assistance.
