How to Modify a Role

Summary:

It may become necessary to modify a role (for example adding or removing permissions). This article shows how modify an existing Role

Details:

  1. Go to Area > Roles.
  2. Place a checkmark next to the Role to modify.
  3. Click Modify on the main menu bar.
  4. Make necessary changes. If your installation of RMS supports more than one language, click the globe icon and enter the appropriate Role Name for each supported language.
  5. Click the + signs to open the Permissions tree.  Select each permission that users in this role should have.
  6. Click Save to save your changes.

     
  7. If you have changed the permissions associated with the role, you must generate permission files before the permission changes will go into effect.
