Resolved Issues

PeopleFluent Learning 26.10 includes a number of bug-fixes and you are encouraged to review them in the Resolved Issues Report.

PeopleFluent Learning AI

In release 26.10, we are introducing a new AI feature that provides the following AI tools:

  • Suggest Course Description Improvements: Enter a course description and request that AI suggest improvements to the description text.
  • Generate a Catalog Image: Request AI to generate a catalog image for a learning module based on the module title and description.
  • Language Bundle Translations: Request AI automatically generate translated fields when language bundles are added to objects that use them. For example, if you add a French language bundle to a learning module, you can request for fields within the module to be automatically translated to French.
  • Language String Translations: Request AI automatically translate individual text labels (strings) for a specific language.

Use of the AI feature requires set up. The feature must be enabled and at least one AI model must be configured. You can have multiple AI models and assign target audiences to each model.

LTI 1.3 Updates

In 26.10, we have made some minor updates to LTI 1.3.

Deprecated Fields

Two fields in the LTI Tool Setup were added, but never fully implemented:

  • Send user data anonymously for this tool.
  • Multiple enrollments/attempts are supported.

These fields have been removed from the UI.  Any existing data remains in the database, but isn't used.

Added Context Type

Some LTI vendors require the Context Type to be part of the call made when launching an LTI course. Rustici Engine can send this, but PFL had to append this value.

Context Type has been added to the call and will work going forward for all new enrollments.  Any existing enrollments will not be updated, so affected users may need to be withdrawn and re-enrolled.

Rustici Engine Redirect

In release 26.10, when closing the Rustici player window, users will now be directed to an HTML file that closes the player. Previously, the player would remain open with a message that the window was loading.

Second direct appraisers are granted the same access rights, review capabilities, approval workflows, and notification rules as the primary direct appraiser.  For example, a second direct appraiser can approve a task or enrollment request. Note that specific actions and visibility continue to be controlled by each manager's individual role access settings.

For additional information about using the report wizard, please see Custom Reports in the Learning Help.

Impact on Direct Assessments

Existing functionality allows supervisor assessments to be attempted only once. Meaning, if the first direct appraiser launches the assessment first, the second direct appraiser is not able to.

New User Attribute Extension Options

User attribute extensions are custom fields created when an organization needs more than the eight standard user attributes to classify users and filter them in searches. Previously, it was not possible to select multiple values in a user attribute extension field.  In release 26.10, we have added two new system configuration settings to allow and manage this functionality:

  • Allow selection of multiple user attribute extension values: Allows multiple values to be selected for user attribute extensions in specific areas, including:
  • Selecting users for automatic assignment to job profiles.
  • Selecting users for automatic enrollment in learning modules.
  • Selecting users for dynamic assignment to user groups.
  • Allow user attribute extension values to be displayed in alphabetical order: Displays the multiple user attribute extension values in alphabetical order.
